Darlish is the UK’s first Persian-inspired ice cream brand. Founded by Laura Dawson in St Albans, it began with a simple idea: recreate the saffron, rose and pistachio flavours of her childhood in a form that felt at home on the British high street.
Today, Darlish combines those heritage flavours with familiar favourites, all made in small batches with care.
Hi, I'm Laura, the founder of Darlish. I'm a speech and language therapist and an ice cream obsessive. It all started 9 years ago when I started experimenting with ice cream in my kitchen in St Albans, trying to recreate the saffron, rose and pistachio flavours I grew up with.
Turns out you couldn't really find them on the British high street, so I figured I'd have a go at making them myself.
Darlish is built around three simple ideas: real flavours, careful making and the pleasure of a really good ice cream. We choose ingredients for their quality, make our ice cream in small batches and want every visit to feel like a moment of comfort, discovery and genuine delight.
